1. Skiing and Snowboarding
Ober Mountain has 10 ski and snowboard trails in varying difficulty, as well as a Freestyle Terrain Park for advanced skiers and boarders to practice their moves! You can bring your own equipment along, but you’ll also find ski, snowboard, jacket, helmet and snow pants rentals available. If you always wanted to try skiing or snowboarding, you’ll be thrilled to know that Ober Mountain offers both private and group lessons from professional instructors! You can purchase a trail ticket for full day sessions or night only sessions, and times/prices vary based on weekdays, weekends and holiday periods.
2. Snow Tubing
Another one of the fun outdoor winter activities that you’ll love at Ober Mountain is snow tubing! The tubing hill is 350 feet long with a 50 foot drop, so prepare to scream in delight each time you slide down the hill! The best part is that you don’t even have to walk back to the top as the “Magic Carpet” takes you back up after each run! This is an excellent family activity as kids only need to be at least 3 years old to participate, but keep in mind that tubers 3-5 years old must ride with an adult 18 years or older. Due to the high demand for tubing, be sure to purchase your session in advance to guarantee your time slot!
3. The Snow Zone
The Snow Zone offers a discovery play area for all ages and is perfect for younger children who aren’t quite up to the adventures of skiing and snowboarding! Your kids will have a blast making snow angels and playing around in the snow, so be sure to bring your camera to capture these magical moments! Note that kids ages 6 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult, and both kids and adults must have a ticket to enter the Snow Zone. If you have a current ski area ticket, you can enter this fun play area for free!
